Hi,
I'm planning on moving to Dallas, Texas next fall (2017). I have completed my first year of college and have decided that I definitely want to go to nursing school. I got about a 3.3 GPA my first year (at the university of alabama) and will continue to take prereqs for nursing school at community college where I live (Washington DC) until I move to Dallas. Sorry if that was confusing lol.
Does anyone have any advice on what nursing schools/undergrad I should apply to? Im looking into WCU, TCU and TWU. Are there any other school I should be looking into? I know my GPA isn't amazing (which is one reason WCU is a strong contender) but I'm planning on doing much, much better on my classes this year because I'll be living at home.
Any help you guys can give me would be amazing!! Thank you!

All are great schools including UT.I am not familiar with WCU. keep in mind Texas Nursing schools are very competitive so try to bring up the GPA. Good luck!

I know nothing about WGU. TCU and TWU are known to be good nursing schools. TCU is a private school, with astronomical tuition, while TWU is a public university, so the tuition is far less. DFW has a number of really good ADN programs as well. You could get your RN and then do a bridge to a BSN.
I haven't checked lately, but typically the programs here are very competitive. Get your GPA up as high as you can.
