Nursing Students School Programs

I have a balance at my previous school but I really want to be a nurse. I was talking to a friend and She told me I could come to without my transcripts but I would have to pay out of pocket and start completely over. Is there any truth to that.

Only can answer that. But why would you not want to get credit for classes you've already taken?

You don't give us much information to work with.

Why not pay off the balance? Wouldn't that be a lot less than starting over?

I owe my school because I didn't get much financial aid. It's really expensive but that's where I wanted to go. My dad got into an accident and couldn't pay my tuition anymore due to being out of work. I stayed a semester after even got a job and payed my own bills and got on a tuition payment plan but it got to be too much. I fell behind And moved home and tried to transfer here and graduate from a school here but can't get my transcripts because I have that balance. All because I was determined to go to a certain school. I really just want to graduate and help people.

That's a lesson learned that I wish you'd share here on AN.

But I think your best approach is to pay off that balance like quilty said and move forward from there. You might get a second job for a year or two to accomplish this, sell something for extra cash, but in the end I think it's the best solution.
