Hello all,
I am an RN (13 years of experience, 6 of those in an ICU) with a cum GPA of 3.4, 4.0 for my BSN. I want to continue my education and become an FNP. There are only 2 schools that offer an NP program in my area. This is part of the reason I am looking at online programs. The other part is that I think they will be very flexible with my work and family schedule.
I am looking for information and/or tips from anyone who has done or is doing an online NP program.
Thanks for your feedback!

I am currently in my 2nd term at Frontier Nursing University and love it. It is a great school with a long history and a family atmosphere. Feel free to email me for any info. It is 2 years full time but also offers a part time track in FNP and midwifery.

Hi,
I was wondering how you made out with your search for an online NP program.
I am also in the process of looking for a good online program and am finding
that's it's a little overwhelming as far as the number of schools and who offers
what.

Vanderbilt has a distance program for FNP. You have to come to the actual campus about three times per semester, but all of the other work is done at your home. You also find a clinical site in your home location.
