hi, i just recently took my nclex in HK (may19) and stopped at 75, and now, i've been waiting for the results for days. i'm just wondering because a friend of mine also took the exm and she said, she already have her result within 3 days. do some of you happen to know where can i see the result online? (i somehow can't contact my friend for she's in overseas) i've been terribly anxious waiting for my result. :'( i've had tons of priority questions, pharma and health teaching questions, i can't even weigh if i really did good in my exam. thank you in advance for those who'll reply! :)

You can check the BRN website. CA does not participate in quick notification like other states but you can just type your name in and if you passed your license # will come up.
This is the link:
http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800
Honestly though if you are overseas I don't know about how or if this works.
Good luck!

If you took the exam in HK, chances are that you do not have a SSN#, and therefore you will never see your name on the CA BRN website until you are in the US and ready to begin work.
You are going to need to wait until you receive the letter from them telling you if you passed the exam, or not. The letter is not even sent out until about 2 1/2 weeks after you test, and then you need to allow for the mail to reach you. Average wait time for the letter is about four weeks. And you will not be issued a license until you give them a SSN#, you will have three years to give them that number, or your file will be lost. If it is past the three years, you do not have to retake the exam, just resubmit the application to them.
The majority of the states do not issue a license until you give them a SSN#, and only half of the states participate in Quick Results. CA does not participate in Quick Results. When you see a name posted on a website for a state, it means that the license has been issued to that nurse and they have an actual license number.
Seeing results is dependent on the state that the exam was written for, not where the nurse tested.
Moving thread to International Forum, since it is specific to foreign nurse licensure in CA.
thanks for all the replies! so that means i'll really have to go through the agonizing part--waiting...
i hope i passed... *sniff* *sniff*
This is actually a well known fact, sorry that you were never informed about it. This is one of the main reasons that we never recommend CA for initial licensure for a foreign nurse that does not have a SN#, on top of the long wait.

Hi Cereza 18! I also took my NCLEX-RN exam in HK last March 9 and it took me 11 agonizing weeks to wait for the snail mail. You really cannot see the result elsewhere and all you can do right now is pray and wait. Don't lose hope because after waiting for 11 weeks, I got my passing result and I took all 265 questions!
Suzanne is also right. You won't have a license unless you have a SS# and you'll only get that once you're already legally in the US.
Just pray okei?! God Bless...

Hello there,
I took my nclex rn too in HK. Fortunately, I passed but I waited 4 long weeks to have my results mailed through snail mail. I did what you had done these days. It is really a sad fact that we have to wait. Anyway, prayers and peace of mind should be your activities while waiting.
Suzanne is right, no ssn policy means no license ID card and RN number is strictly practice in California. Therefore, I really regret taking my NCLEX for the state of California, it's true.
