Hey all,
I'm looking to pull the trigger on an online program for MSN-Ed. I currently work full time as faculty at a proprietary school and I'm finally ready to begin an MSN program, so that I can expand my options :) I want to go the online route for convenience...it's a bit more pricey than the local schools...but worth the time and energy in my opinion. A friend of mine is in the program at GCU and she seems pretty happy with it so far...I have been considering it...anyone have any recommendations about this program? I've also been looking at WGU...they claim some pretty competitive pricing...but I have a feeling that they have a way of rounding that out a bit. I saw several "one time fees" in addition to the set tuition. I understand that no program is going to be perfect...but I'd like to make as informed of a decision as possible. Any suggestions or feedback is greatly appreciated...Thanks!
Hello...is this thing on??? *cough*

There are multiple online MSN-Ed programs .... not familiar with the ones you have asked about. One of my friends attended St Joe's online for her MSN. She seemed to like the program. As long as you already have a BSN - I think that program is pretty straight forward. One that I am looking at is Cinncinati University. They combine their MSN with a CNS - so it is kinda a 2 for 1 deal!! Aspen University has an online MSN-Ed program and I believe there are several members here attending. Walden is pricey!! As are a few others that I could mention. Browse Distance Learning - there is a ton of information here. :heartbeat And remember - the best school is the one that works for You!

Thomas Edison College has an online MSN-Ed program that is done in a quarter system and can be done in about a year if you are taking 3 courses per quarter. It's the one I will be doing whenever I get to that point the price looked competitive in my opinion and they have financial aid, regional accreditation, and CCNE accreditation.
I am only speaking off of what I have found in my research as I have not attended as of yet. If you want to wait about a year and a half I can give you my personal opinion on the school. ~Hope that helps.
Thanks all :)
