Online microbiology-cayuga community college vs. Exelsior exam

Hello,

Has anyone taken online microbiology at Cayuga?

I was planning on taking it until I was told (from someone who "knows someone") that it is messy and involves stacks of petrie dishes, e coli, and various other not so pleasant things.

Is it really that bad?

I am trying to decide between that and the Excelsior exam...which I heard is awful as well.

What truly is the better option?!?!

You need to consider that many nursing programs will not accept a micro class that does not include a lab. Don't sell yourself short, then have to pay more money to repeat the class in the future.
