Online course - Nutrition that covers nutrition in relations to the diseases

I am in desperate need for some online options for a nutrition course. It needs to cover nutrition in relations to the disease process. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My school offers a course called therepeutic nutrition (DIT 221) if that helps...Northern virginia community college

I am taking Dietary Nutrition (3cr) through ccconline.org this semester. I don't know if it suits your needs, but I haven't heard of the type of class your talking about either.

Here is the direct link to the posted course information, kind of a lame one if you ask me, not much detail. My class begins on the 20th but there is another session that begins on Feb 23rd which is shorter. If you can wait I can give you a copy of the outline that will be posted on Monday.

Have you taken classes at CCC before? Do you have any more information about the class? That would be great if you could send me the course syllabus and or course outline.

Hi skurtz,

I took two online classes via ccconline last semester. I took Eng 121 and Bio 105, which is a pre-req to A&P I. I really like the format of the online classes. Follow this link to see how they are set up (Sample courses at ccconline) http://www.ccconline.org/Future_Students/sample_courses/ microbiology would be a relevant one to check out.

As well, in some of the science courses you have to buy the lab kits. In the kit is a DVD with the list of lab experiments and instructions. The labs you have to do for class are listed on the left hand side of the page under Course Content.

Everything you need to know is in that course somewhere, sometimes it just knowing where to find it. Dates, scoring, labs, discussion requirements, rubrics, will all be listed. You are never taken off guard and can't say 'I didn't know' when it comes to it, so that is real nice.

I will get that syllabus to you on Monday and will Private Message you with it. I think I can PM you even though you don't have the 10 or 15 posts it requires to PM me.

Oh, one more thing. All I had to buy in the way of course materials was something called 'MyDietAnalysis 3.0'. It is an access code to a website that is required for class. It only cost 15.00 so that was real nice!
