Hello!
I'm a new ICU nurse (not a new nurse), and I plan on applying to CRNA school within the next couple of years. I attended a program that only required intro to general chemistry. I plan on taking biochemistry, and possibly general chemistry. However, my question is, will intro to chemistry and intro to biochemistry classes suffice? Will I have to take upper level courses instead?
In addition to graduate level pathophys/pharmacology, I'm currently looking at online biochemistry at Colorado state and online g-chem through Oklahoma state. I definitely don't want to go through the hassle if intro classes are generally accepted. I would probably go through UC Berkeley's intro to biochem class if that was accepted. Anyone done this? All info is appreciated!
Also, anyone know of any affordable grad level pathophysiology and pharm courses? I might do it through a local university, but the cost is around 7k, so if I can find course cheaper elsewhere, I would prefer that! Thanks!

It all depends on the school. Check with the schools you are interested in and ask them directly. I am currently taking the Intro to Biochem class through UC Berkeley extension, but I just started it so I don't have much advice for you there. It will satisfy Baylor's O chem requirement. Good luck!

I would contact the school(s) your looking at applying to and ask them first. Since the name of classes change so often it's hard for schools to keep updated and accurate lists, better to talk to someone who is actually part of their admission process. Please let us know what you find and best of luck!
