I hate the whole applying online job application thing, never realized how many different computer programs there are for applying on line There are two different places that use the same type of program and it will show you that a there is a change in the status of your application by high-lighting it in yellow.....but what does that mean does anyone know?
Has my application been forewarded on to the hiring manager?
Does it mean that it has been rejected?
Does it mean....well I don't know what else it means but the website offers no explanation and they say not to contact the company to ask HR questions.
So I ask all out here in allnurse if any of you may know
I like the other programs that will tell you if your application has been forewarded to the hiring manger, or rejected, dont get the color coded system
I recently applied for a position and it stated
Listed below are application(s) received within the past 6 months.
Application status changes displayed in yellow.

The next day when I checked the status of my application the entire section was highlighted in yellow, so I'm guessing HR reviewed my application and was considering me, but then I checked a few days later the highlighted area in yellow was back to white, (I was furious) but today I received a phone call for a interview for a residency program ðŸ™ðŸ¾ So I guess if the entire section turns yellow they are considering you

Yes. Well in case anyone googles that question like I did ...I applied for a hospital job as an er tech on a program called health care source. I was checking the status of my application and it went yellow. Below was application history and a job I previously posted for and didn't get, which was white. So I figured that yellow had to be a good sign. I signed on the very next day and it had returned to white and was no longer highlighted. My heart broke. However later on that evening I had a call for an interview. So it is uncertain if it is a for sure. It may just be if they have your application open on their computer. Hope I helped someone.
