All the best to you as you start this journey. You are blessed to have supportive parents and from your email you seem very enthusiastic;which is great!
Sociology was a fun class. I had a great great teacher! You will learn a lot about yourself and other people & society and how we respond to it. Everyone has a different approach to getting into nursing school at the end of the day, we all want to be nurses.
Welcome Laura!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to come on here and introduce myself. My name is Laura, and I am starting my prereq's in a week! Sociology will be my first course. And then it will just get harder with all the sciences LOL! I have a BA in Political Science and stayed as FAR away from math and the hard sciences as I could when I went to school the first time. But everyones interests change and now I have made the decision that I would like to become a nurse! I am going to do the prereqs at my local CC and then hopefully transfer to an Accelerated BSN. I am in the Washington DC/Baltimore metro area, so I have A LOT of options in terms of programs to apply to. My dad is kind of pushing Georgetown, as he is an alumnus, and if I decide (and got in!) where HE wants me to go, he'll help me and DH out financially in terms of tuition and help with some of our bills while I am in school as I def would not be able to keep a full time job going in an accelerated program. Which I feel incredibly blessed to have parents that would have the means and generosity to support me like that. So thats me.......havent been a student in almost 7 years now. Its going to be STRANGE being a student again!
