On my application it has a section for employment and volunteerism. I am a 36 year old mother of 4, my volunteer roles look a little different than perhaps a 19 year olds! I volunteer A LOT but not with anything to do with nursing. I am Vice President of our districts PTO, I helped start a backpack program in our district and sit on that committee, I was the marketing and web coordinator for our K.I.D.S.program (improving schools), I volunteer in the classroom and office at my childrens elementary school and my husband and I run a youth wrestling program in our community.
Should I put all that down or are they looking for something else? Thanks for any advice!
I am so excited to finally be getting this application in but I am sooo nervous!

Yep, put it all down! I am a 34 y.o mother of 2, and all of my volunteer work is either through the church or through my sons school!
Good luck!

Definitely put it all down. They're looking for community involvement, not necessarily just nursing experience. Good luck!
