My hospital, Harris Methodist Fort Worth and our sister hospital, Presbyterian Dallas have one. Ours at Harris is a shared daycare with the Cook Children's in Fort Worth. My children have always gone to our onsite daycare and I loved it. Knowing that they were a block away from where I work is very comforting. The hours are 0600-1930, Monday thru Friday. Way back in the day (about 20 years ago), the were open 24-7 and very few people took advantage of it so they went to the current schedule. I believe I remember seeing that another sister hospital of ours, Arlington Memorial, also has a daycare.
My hospital, Kaweah Delta, has one. We're in Visalia, California (Central CA). I don't have kids yet so I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's a great program. I've heard other nurses talk about having their kids there, so I'm guessing it works with a nurse's day schedule. It's called Kaweah Kids :)
I'm excited about taking advantage of it someday.

Does your hospital have a day care center onsite, or do you know of a hospital that has one? If so, do they operate nurse schedules or are they stuck on the 9-5 leaving employees that work outside those hours out of luck?
Would be interesting to see if its more of a trend in some areas of the country than others.
If you have used one before, how did it work for you?
