On the Job training, in Georgia??

Hi,

I have been wanting to be an RN for years! I tried the normal path, but the schools here are m-f, but I have to work! I have a college degree, and am an EMT. Does any one out there have any ideas on how I can fullfill my dream? I am thinking of going to paramedic school than bridge over, but that is not my first choice. I know some states have the hospital based programs that you work and learn at the same time. Please, any one out can you please help me out???

University of Arizona has an accelerated program, where tuition is paid for by one of two hospital chains in return for working for them after school. You can also work for them while you are in school.

You should look for something like that.

Specializes in ER,GI.

What about Excelsior? If you are already an EMT you can get your RN that way. I know several medics who have gone that route.

I have thought about that, I would have to finisnh paramedic school first, My pre classes are completed and medic school does not start until may or june. My dream is to work in a hospital not on an ambulance, but I guess the end justifies the means!! I hope some one in the metro atlanta area is reading this and can give me there 2cents.
