:roll:biggringi:yelclap: Somewhere inside, somehow you know that there's a purpose for you on this day. Let that purpose come to the surface and bring it fully to life.
Authentic purpose is not a deep, dark secret that you must struggle to discover. Decide to allow it, and purpose will find you where you are.
Purpose is not so much a matter of what you do. Purpose is more about the way you feel while doing whatever it is you are doing.
Those things you know without having to learn, connect you to purpose. Purpose is not merely what you think you might believe, but what you're certain that you are.
Purpose is the unconditional, limitless realm in your life that cannot be diminished by anything that happens. Whatever you undertake from the sense of that purpose brings great fulfillment and richness to life.
Always you have known that there is purpose within you, a purpose essential to who you are. Give it to life again and again, for you'll never tire of seeing its shine.:biggringi
thank you i'm still in a euphoric state :) when do you test ? so far all the all the october testers have passed
congrats to u. must be a wonderful feeling. its glad to know the test was so much easier this time around for u. i hope it will be the same for me.:balloons:you go girl!!!!!!!!!
WOW CONGRATS!!! :D
I just want you to know... You give me hope!! =) I took my test last July with 75 questions and failed. I was so miserable and depressed, and took me like at least 2 weeks to get back to hitting the books again. I had a different review course the last time, and now I'm taking Kaplan. Can I just say, Kaplan is sooo much more than what I had expected! It is so comprehensive and very, very informative. How I wished I took Kaplan before. It's kinda like nursing school all over again - only everything's kind of shortened. (bec. it the freakin' NCLEX already! Haha!)
I just have a couple of questions. Did you find Kaplan really helpful when you took your NCLEX? How was it similar and/or different from the actual NCLEX? Were you satisfied that you took Kaplan?
Thanks in advance! CONGRATS AGAIN NEW RN!!! :balloons: Hope I can be in your shoes soon! Hehe!
I 100% think Kaplan helped their questions i found were the same or harder difficulty than NCLEX especially QT, make sure you understand the rationale and if you get a question wrong, look it up in the Kaplan book. Kaplan is very good at getting you use to critical thinking (analysis/ application type questions) as opposed to content or knowledge questions. NCLEX expects you to have the knowledge but how are you going to use that knowledge to make decision such as delgating or prioritizing. I wouldn't suggest memorizing anything but maybe the labs but here's the top 10 subjects i think everyone sitting for the NCLEX should know:
1. Fluid Vol. Overload
2. Fluid Vol. Deficit
3. Addison Dz
4. Cushings
5. Hyperglycemia
6. Hypoglycemia
7. DI/ SIADH
8. Hypo/Hyper Thyroid
9. Trach
10. Chest tubes
Know all your precuations what to wear into a room with a patient with measle or TB, and the common medication class not individual b/c there are too many. This is what helped me pass. Good luck

and the verdict is i passed i'm still in total disbelief. i had managed to convince myself i failed because i felted the test was so much easier this time around then my first try in july. i also got alot of what i thought were content based questions which everyone told me were the easy level question, and i also got alot of questions wrong.
a couple of things i did differently from the first time:
1. the night before i did not study the only thing i did was look over some values
2. the morning of the test i woke up early and had breakfast (even with the runs) a good source of carb
3. all the way to the testing center i kepted telling myself you can do it, you know the answers.
4. i put my id card in the corner of the monitor so i wouldnt get distracted with the # of questions
5. i took my time answering the question and rephrasing it in my own words.
6. last but not least i prayer, kaplan prayer and more kaplan
:monkeydance: hope this helps repeat test takers or just anyone about to take the nclex good luck.
