:banghead::crying2::crying2::banghead: I was almost finished with the Barnes Jewish college of nursing asn program. I had to write a paper and also turn in a remediation project. The instructor told us that both were due on the last day of class and if the remediation was not done we would get an incomplete so I knew that had to be done. I spent sooo much time on that that the paper I turned in was really not very good. As I was handing it in I heard her tell several people that they could turn their remediation in on monday giving them an extra 5 days. Wow if I was given that oportunity then my paper would have been good. ANyway due to this bad paper I failed the class and now must find another school. I was in the very last class of the program. Does anyone have suggestions on a school that would accept most of my classes. Has anyone else had this experience? Please help I am soo depressed.

I'm so sorry to learn of your misfortune. Did you try asking the instructor to give you another chance at writing the paper? Since she/he gave the other students a break, perhaps she/he could have done the same for you, especially if it was the last class of the program. It seems odd that you would fail simply because of a poorly written paper, especially if you did well in other areas of the class (I'm assuming you did?). You should try speaking to your instructor and other officials at the school about what you can do, since you were so close to passing.

I don't know of any schools that would take you, but suggest that you call around to the various schools in the area and speak to their admissions counselors. Most schools in the St. Louis area have a waiting list for the fall semester, but I'm sure you can get in somewhere for either the spring or next Fall. Look into associate degree programs at the community colleges as well as bsn programs at the local universities, you'll get into one. Good luck.
