I'm so sorry to learn of your misfortune. Did you try asking the instructor to give you another chance at writing the paper? Since she/he gave the other students a break, perhaps she/he could have done the same for you, especially if it was the last class of the program. It seems odd that you would fail simply because of a poorly written paper, especially if you did well in other areas of the class (I'm assuming you did?). You should try speaking to your instructor and other officials at the school about what you can do, since you were so close to passing.
I don't know of any schools that would take you, but suggest that you call around to the various schools in the area and speak to their admissions counselors. Most schools in the St. Louis area have a waiting list for the fall semester, but I'm sure you can get in somewhere for either the spring or next Fall. Look into associate degree programs at the community colleges as well as bsn programs at the local universities, you'll get into one. Good luck.
