Hi! Anyone starting Olympic College's TADN this winter? I graduated from Clover Park's LPN program last August and am scheduled to start the TADN (Transition to ADN) program at OC winter 2010. Anyone completed this program? Any input is appreciated! :loveya:
Im sorry. I really have no idea. I have just heard rumors but usually those are false anyway. I heard from one person 6 and another 16. So honestly, I dont know. I hope you do get in!! We had to respond if we are going to attend by like the 16th or something like that, so hopefully these last few days they were looking at who said no and going down the list. Ill cross my fingers for you!!
Hi! I got in in 2012, but was dropped towards the end due to my own lack of focus. Now, years later I’m way farther in my career, have two kiddos, and also applied for the 2020 cohort. I wish I could remember what score got me in years ago! Although, when I retook the Accuplacer, my score will get me two points for that alone and the lady in the testing center said that would likely make the difference!
@indiechic I’m sorry to hear that! I’m glad you didn’t give up though. Also glad to know of someone else who has applied.? I’m only worried because they extended the deadline twice! But tomorrow is the official deadline again with no more extensions. I verified that.lol from what I calculated, I got 20 points. Only got 1 point on the accuplacer. I know of some people who have applied in the 250s area. They were told that’s the lowest they take???♀️ If that’s the case, I’m pretty happy with my 1 point.
@nurseuhlisuh Yes, the repeat deadline extension worried me too. I’m glad more folks got the chance to apply, given the seriously last minute notice they gave in the first place. But, selfishly I also want the best chance possible of getting in with less applicants. Lol. Per the scoring grid on the site, the max points possible one can score is 9. I just got my application review letter and was excited to see I’d scored 8/9 points. They gave me a rollover point for having re-applied years ago. Expecting a decision letter in November. I'm just soooo jazzed they reopened the TADN cohort, it’s a great program and the instructors I had were incredibly knowledgeable. Good luck and keep me updated if you hear anything!
