I was not accepted into the accelerated Nursing program in BR. I was accepted as an alternate person. Does anyone know what exactly this entails or what the likely hood of being accepted is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that it means if someone declines their acceptance to the program you may be picked up.

Did you ever get a response and get in? Did they give you a reason why you didn't get in?
I applied to the Baton Rouge Accelerated Program and got in. I know it doesn't go strictly by your GPA. I know that they look a your letters of recommendation, the essay you submitted, and your transcript. They only have about 50 positions available so there may not be a real reason but that someone else had something that you may not have had.

I am in the process of applying to OLOL's Accelerated Nursing program. Where did you see that we need to submit an essay? I've got all of my transcripts in and am sending in my letters of recommendation today. I received a letter from OLOL a week ago telling me that they were only waiting on my letters of rec. They didn't mention anything about an essay. I have also spoken to the someone in charge at EJ/WJ/Tulane and she hasn't mentioned it to me either.
Help!

Hi All,
I called OLOL in B.R. this morning to ask when the acceptance letters would be sent out and they said the letters will go out at the end of this week and the following week!
CHECK YOUR MAILBOX'S AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!!!!
Oh my goodness, kitti419, you're right! LOL, I filled my application out online and totally forgot about that essay! Whew! Thought I was forgetting something. Thanks!!!
tobethebest, which class are you talking about? I am applying for WJ, Jan. 2010 (or beyond! Hopefully not!!!). I am thinking you are talking about EJ, Sept. 2009 since you're already waiting on an acceptance letter???
Yes, the 2009 Sept. session...at OLOL in B.R.
I wonder if the same applies for acceptance letters for New Orleans fall 09 class We haven't even gotten interviews yet
They must have their act together in BR. EJ can't even tell us if we will get interviewed this month. I'm thinking about this LPN program at Nunez if they say "no" to me for EJ. Kinda sucks but I don't think I can stomach another 6mos+ waiting to see if I get in for Spr 10 when I could be halfway to LPN. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
