Old transcripts bringing me down

I am driven to get into a BSN program. Realistically I have a low chance of getting into a CSU, although I will be applying to CSUCI and CSUEB.

The problem is my cumulative gpa is very low (~2.7) due to older SDSU transcripts. Most schools require a minimum of 3.0 cumulative gpa.

Any suggestions for BSN programs?

I was disqualified at SDSU after 3 semesters 4 years ago. Received a 1.29 gpa. I was naive and completely caught up in the social aspect of the school and this transcript haunts me.

Now I have a 3.55 gpa at community college and I have completed micro, anatomy, physiology, and chem with all A's.

I work for a chiropractor and have patient interaction, but it may or may not be considered health care work experience.

Can you take more classes at community college to try and raise that GPA even more? I think right now your chances for a CSU are iffy. How long ago was SDSU?

I attended SDSU 2012- 2013. The problem is I really don't have more classes to take. I have about 80 units at the community college. And I looked into some private institutions but many also have a minimum gpa requirement of 3.0 . I am thinking I am barely competitive for applying to community colleges for RN programs... I am also thinking I might have to go out of state?
