Old textbooks

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do with my 15 yr old text books (besides using them to build forts for my kids!). We cleaned out bookcases today and I've got a pile. Was going to throw them out, but didn't know if there was another use for them.

Thanks

glad to know that i'm not the only one who is struggling with this....likely due to the zillions of dollars we invested in them at the time (and in my case, an injury due to the sheer weight of them)

i'm wondering if those books were shipped to a charity for redistribution, would that not be tax deductible? good question for the accountant i guess.

no way in heck i am going to hold on to those suckers until they become valuable...i've already moved them 5 times in 10 years.....enough already!!!!!

never thought about throwing them in the ol fireplace...that would be more use of them than i've gotten out of them in 10 years!!!!

If they are old, the library most likely does not want your books. Every year my library has a huge sale of donated books, there are many tables of old textbooks, outdated travel guides, books of once popular diets, and computer manuals more than 15 years old. Wonder who is in the market for these books?

I do have some nursing text books from the 1930's. I enjoy vintage nursing books.
