Does anyone know where to find old nursing journals? I'm looking for journals from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, but my library recently discarded the physical ones and replaced them with digital versions. I'm looking at how nursing journals have changed over time, so I need physical copies in order to do this. Does anyone know where I could get a big stack of old nursing journals? There must be people with stacks of these in their attics somewhere.
Thank you

Look at the website Ruby Lane under nursing pins. They have a few from the late 40's and early 50's for purchase.

have you checked thrift stores? I have gotten old nursing books from the thrift store.

Check with your library and see if they can contact other libraries in your state. They may be able to help you, too.

If you want to look at several, you will probably need to go to a health sciences library at a school. If your school no longer keeps old issues, then you'll probably have to try other (perhaps larger) libraries who maintain lots a large collection of resources. For example a large university with a medical school as well as a nursing school that has a big research library.
