Interview for mid October! Any thoughts on how they assign interview dates? I know two people that were offered 10/1 as an option (earlier than my options). ...Possibly just over analyzing here...

Did you get an email today? The people who got Oct. 1 interviews got earlier emails. I don't know how they're going through applications, maybe by submission date...?

I have an October 1st date, but I submitted by application the Wednesday before it was due. My application was still pending a reference until that Friday. In my interview invite email, it asked that I come the first week since I live close by (about 2 hours away) to give time for people who live further to make traveling arrangements. I am not sure if they considered me local because of the distance or because I have been there multiple times for a VANA conference, to meet with the director, and to sit in on a class, so they know I can get there easily with shorter notice.

Congrats!! I know in the past they had an option for zoom, but I haven't heard anything about it yet this year.
Applied on Aug 30. Received an interview invite on Sept 20.

Hi guys. If you got an interview may you please share your stats? Science and cumulative GPA and yrs of experience
Best of luck to everyone. Got my rejection letter today. Didn't even score an interview. Here are my "not good enough" statistics:
Science GPA-3.44
GPA-3.47
All required courses satisfied, CCRN, CNRN, masters degree, 9 years in ICU-from level 1 down to small community hospitals, 135 hours of shadowing/clinical with CRNA across 4 different hospitals level 1,2 3 trauma and small community hospital, ran a 501c, volunteered at the library, 5 other consistent volunteer things, 1 committee at the hospital which included me representing them for magnet evaluation, aacn and ana membership, 3 professional conferences attended this year including 2 nursing, 1 anesthesia. Preceptor and charge experience and I teach to orient new nurses at my hospital.
Apparently not good enough for this program. 👍

I had a 3.2 overall undergrad. 3.4 for science undergrad. I took 2 graduate classes (Pharm and path) and got an A and B. I have had 2 years nursing experience in a MSTICU/BICU at a level 1 trauma center and have cross trained to work PRN in the PICU for the last year. I worked as a PCT in three ICUs during nursing school. Some extra stuff that I think helped... I have done volunteering through the AACN and at church. I've been to 4 CRNA conferences and have talked to the director and students each time. I've had the opportunity to sit in on a class at ODU and have had a meeting with the director to look over my resume and transcripts. I was able to shadow a CRNA for 24 hours. I got my CCRN, CBRN, and CSRN. I took NRP, TNCC, ABLS, and PALS. I have submitted an article to a anesthesia journal. I did some other stuff too but those are the big things! The hospital I work at has so many opportunities, so I take all that I can!
