Hi,
I am living in San Diego and doing the undergrad prerequisites. I have been rethinking which school to attend. Initially was going to go to Oklahoma University. It is an on line program with clinicals. Not sure after taking anatomy if I can learn on line. May be better in a classroom setting.
any thoughts on on line/class room? any one in this program? It is new to San Diego.
Thanks!

It all depends on the individual. I am in this program right now about to start my second semester, and I can say that it is definitely hard work. You have to be very motivated to do the studying and assignments, etc that are required each week. The good news is that you actually do learn a lot of material on your own, so the methods in place are effective, but again, you need to be very motivated to crack down and do it. I believe somewhere else someone posted that this program is not for the faint of heart, and I think that is an accurate description. You will work very hard, but that may be true of any ABSN program. Our program is pretty disorganized at times, so that becomes a challenge, especially when you have childcare to arrange for and accommodate (like me!). In summation, you need to think about how you do on your own in the online environment, since about 75% of the program is based on line. There are other programs in san diego to chose from. I believe that Azusa Pacific has an ABSN completed in 15 months, not at all online. That might work better for you. GOod luck!
Hi and thank you for the reply,
motivation is not my problem. I am getting a 4.0 now in all my prerequisites. I am just wondering how much support you do get from OU and how autonomous you are?
Would you go with them again?
Really good luck and much success with the program.
