Oklahoma LPN Refresher Course??

Published

I became licensed in 2012 and immediately after that moved and got licensed in a different state, and worked in Home Health and LTC until August 2014. Since then, I've been unemployed, raising my son. I got offered an awesome job opportunity where I would be a clinic liasion, basically recruiting patients in hospitals to a Long term acute facility. The most 'clinical' type work I would be doing is an assessment of the patients. My license in the state I graduated from, Oklahoma, has lapsed. I looked at my options as far as re-instating my license and looks like I either had to have done some college classes or do a nurse refresher since its been 2 years since I last worked. Are there any other options for re-instating my LPN license in Oklahoma that Im not understanding or seeing or any loopholes?

Is your new job prospect in OK? I went to the boards website, and saw the reinstatement link, but it asked I put in info related to my license that I don't have, so i couldn't read any of the requirements/stipulations.

These are the b different options to choose from copied from Ok's Board of Nursing:

I have completed a refresher course within the last two years with content consistent with Board Policy. (Please request that the institution offering the Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved refresher course submit an official transcript or certificate of completion.)

I want to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Please send me a registration form. I understand that my application will not be processed until the examination is successfully passed.

I have completed at least six (6) academic semester credit hours (or 105 contact hours, for LPNs enrolled in practical nursing) of nursing courses within the last two years which include classroom and clinical instruction. (Please request that the education institution submit an official transcript to the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.)

I am licensed in another state and have been employed in that state in a position requiring nursing licensure for a minimum of 520 work hours in the past two years. (Please request that an Employment Verification Form be completed by your employer and submitted directly to the Board office.

it seems pretty forward.. I don't see any loopholes if you haven't worked.. :( refresher or CEUs is the only way I see for your OK license reinstatement.
