Okay...show of hands. Who here can believe the school year is almost over?

Where did the year go? I'm just three weeks away from wrapping up my first year and am wondering how I got so far in what seems like a small amount of time. I wish the wait to get INTO nursing school would have gone this quickly.

I'm relieved and proud that I'm ending the year on solid ground. I've done really well all year long, and this semester am absolutely rocking in theory and clinicals. I could be doing better in pharm - I'm below my personal academic standards, but above the college's minimum standards so I guess I can live with that.

I passed the level 1 HESI with flying colors and have successfully moved to the next round of interviews for a nurse externship position. There were 8 positions open and I understand that more than 90 applied so I'm feeling pretty good about that.

I'm not saying the year was easy. Quite the contrary, it was damned difficult, and greuling at times. But I just kept my head on straight and my eyes on the prize and everything else just sort of fell into place. I still feel at times like I'm going to hear the other foot drop and something is going to happen to snap me out of my comfort zone.

Kudos to all of us who have weathered the storm called nursing school this year! Pat yourselves on the back - you deserve it!

Yes the year did go by very fast. At the same time my pinning ceremony seems so far away...July 09 ! Will it ever come ?

Oh God! I do not believe it is going fast enough! I will be done in October then move on to preceptorship in november! What a year! I can't wait to be done...there are many issues I have to deal with when I am done with nursing college. My life is in limbo for now...Thank you Jesus for the little light I am seeing at the end of the tunnel. I feel like I am being tortured, just six more months to go. Lord, please, please, give me strength to persevere and continue to direct my path with your blood.
