Okay, returning to Med/Surge after a year.... any advice?

Allright, I have made the decision to return to Med/Surge after a year of working in psych. The hospital that I will hopefully be working for, has a psych unit as well as Med Surge, and so I hope to kinda float between the two. For the time being however, I am interviewing for a Med/Surge position.

Any good advice for someone who has been away from it for a while? Because psych is so different.... well...

Anyway, thanks!

O.K. - I'll respond-I've been away from med-surg for 1.5 yrs (new nurse, worked med-surg acute care for 8 mos.-too overwhelming right out of N.S.), have been w/Hospice ever since (1.5 yrs). I consider going back from time to time-just to brush up my skills-so if you go back to M.S., let us know how it's going. Good luck!!
