I hate to say it, but in my experience, if students don't make the minimum grade, they don't pass.

Have you checked with your instructors about roundin grades? Some schools are strict and will not round so if you get 74.5 its 74.5 instead of 75. It would not hurt to ask. Good Luck!!

Your instructor would be discrimating against your classmates if he/she awarded you points based on subjective measures (liking you). If the school allows the instructor to give EVERYONE points for participation or some such, then there is hope. The real problem is that without this basic course you are going to have problems in future courses and in clinical practice. You really need to know the stuff. Good luck. I'm guessing that your grades are generated by computer. If the software doesn't have a command to round up, unless your professor overrides the computer, the news aint good. My pharm instructor wouldn't know my name from Adam even though I'm one of her best students. Is there any way you can confer with her before the grades come out? Maybe if she knows to look out for your grade, she'll do an override before it gets published. It couldn't hurt to tell her of your concerns.

Don't give up yet. Give your instructor a call or go to their office and ask. It would not hurt. I do agree though, that it won't be based on liking you. Have they rounded before or have they stated it is against their policy? Good luck.

Do you have any thing you can take in and try to argue for an extra point or two? Our teachers are real strict with the grades a 74.5 is a 74.5. And there is no questioning test questions, they have a program that throws out bad questions that a certain percentage of the class misses. But if we have written papers, those are more subjective, I would take them in and try to argue a couple points. I know several of my classmates are in this situation. I feel for them, considering our graduation is thursday and they won't know if they are graduating until just a day or so before. Good Luck, hopefully you have a way to pull it out.
