OHSU's ABS program

I've heard from a few people that they got calls this week and last from OHSU telling them they were accepted into the ABS program. I was told by OHSU's nursing dept that they only notify students by mail. Does anyone know whether the fact that I didn't get a call means I didn't get in?

On Wednesday the 23rd, I received a letter in the mail from OHSU. I made their alternate list, but will be accepting at another school.

Finally received a rejection letter from them today, its a good thing I was accepted into an accelerated program elsewhere. In fact, I'm not sure if I would have wanted to go to OHSU had I been accepted considering the run-around process. Good luck to those on the alt list!!

Same here, I finally got my rejection letter, but I'd already decided to go elswhere. My rejection letter was actually sitting in the pile of mail just under my registration packet for the school I will be attending :). It would have been nice if they had been more organized and didn't drag things out like this. I'm also kind of irritated at myself for bothering to apply in the first place and paying that ridiculous application fee.:uhoh21:

OHSU's application fee is stupid! I could have used that money for books and scrubs! Oh well...

On another note...

I wonder if all of the budget cuts after the lawsuit will affect the nursing school. I do know they were cutting jobs, raising tuition and cutting programs to deal with the lawsuit....

The lawsuit is suppose to raise tuition 10-15%, at least that is what the plan was when the lawsuit decision first came out. Dr. Robertson only mentioned the medical and dental schools but I would think it included all tuition. But then again, OHSU has not had to go through with all the things they said would happen so I'm not sure how much tuition will actually rise. I guess we'll find out when they release their 08-09 tuition and fees list.

I also finally :( received a rejection letter on Saturday. I'm kind of curious why I was rejected, since I was accepted everywhere else I applied... Maybe I will take them up on their offer to tell me how I could have made my application more "competitive." I had considered applying to their doctorate program in the future... I hadn't heard of a lawsuit though! And tuition hike? Whaaa?

If you do take them up on that offer please let me know! I was accepted everywhere else I applied as well and I am very curious about what OHSU was looking for.
