The deadline just passed and I haven't been able to find a thread on the 2019 Oregon Health & Science University CRNA program. I know It's competitive, SO I figure there are more than a few applicants on this site that would like to learn/share information about this term's application process. I just applied, I have good grades but only minimal ICU experience time. Hope you all would consider sharing any thoughts or insight. Thank you.

Has anyone heard any whisper of interview invites?

Nothing. 🙁

Radio silence here as well.

This waiting is killing me, I'm from Spokane but I'm currently over in South Carolina for an interview at MUSC, I'd prefer not to move across the country for school but I will if I have to

Keep in mind that the past two years they started sending out invites two weeks prior to the first interview date. This year that is first interview is on the 10- so that may mean we won't hear until the 27th or so.

Do you know if they give a couple of options for dates? Like someone else mentioned, that's right in the middle of my long stretch. Sigh...

I was assigned a day and time two years ago. I don't know how accommodating they are though. I ended up just calling out because I was scheduled for the night before the interview. It was the first time I had ever done that and felt so bad.

I feel bad when I have to do call off as well, but my unit only allows 1 ICU RN to be off each shift so getting time off without scheduling a year in advance is difficult. If I have to call off I will. Ultimately pursuing this goal is more important than one shift! ;)

wow!! How big is your icu? It is definitely not that hard to get time off for me, and we can trade days if we can find someone to trade with. My dilemma was if I asked for a trade and then no one could-and then I had to call out anyway...I figured it was just better to call out. I don't know if anyone would have even noticed had that happened, but I thought that was the better thing to do. This year I was able to schedule myself off for the posted days and wasn't moved. But you are right! This is more important than one shift. I potentially have to call out if I get interviews at the other 2 schools I am waiting to hear back from.

Has anyone heard back about interviews? I'd potentially be traveling from out of country so the radio silence is killing me a bit..

Propfolsbff, my unit is a 12 bed ICU - not big by any stretch. We can trade as well if someone is willing or able to...but that can be tricky. I really wish we had self-scheduling. My manager is likes it, but the staff aren't receptive to it. Anyway, hopefully we'll hear something soon!

Nothing here yet.

I feel like if we don't hear anything by today or tomorrow, they'll move the interview dates. I doubt anyone will be in the office between holidays, but who knows, I'm just speculating.

I know most schools sent out their letters yesterday, so hopefully we'll hear something soon!
