Hello All, I noticed that there was not yet a thread for the ABSN to MSN program at OHSU for the upcoming 2015 cohort. Specifically, I applied to the new FNP focused program.
I am very curious to hear about other folks' advice, thoughts, and information relative to the process. I have never applied to any kind of medical related program before, I feel a little unclear on the process for interviews and expectations.
I received an invitation to interview a little over a week ago and am scheduled for late February.
What is going on for others?
Did you apply to the DNP or MSN? I applied straight through to the DNP, but submitting a paper felt very stressful for some reason. I hope that that was the right choice, but I knew that I wanted to get there eventually, I couldn't think of any good excuse to put it off.

Congrats to those who got in! I've been waitlisted, but I have a place waiting for me at MGH-IHP if necessary. Does anyone know how that process works? Or how many people are on the list? Apparently they have up until classes start to inform us about openings. Any info would be great! And once again, congratulations to those who got in.

fee_fi_fo_fum or CafeGypsy, I applied and am on the wait list for the FNP track at OHSU too. Have you heard anything about when those who are accepted have to decide by?
I would PM lexical (congrats, lexical!!) but being a new allnurses user, it won't let me until I participate in more discussions... =/
Congrats Laddiekins! I haven't heard anything, so at this point I'm prepping for a cross-country move to Boston for MGH-IHP. The program I was accepted to is an AGACNP so it will be different, and maybe a little more intense. It's been such a tough choice for me between FNP and ACNP, anyone else in this boat?
CafeGypsy, congrats on MGH-IHP!! I was waitlisted there for the FNP track but took myself off the list when I got into another school out west. I spent my undergrad in DC, so I wanted to stay closer to home this time around. I bet you'll have a great time though. I did a summer program at BU a few years ago and Boston is such a great city! There is so much to do and explore and gosh, all the health care opportunities...I could go on and on! At least it starts in fall (right?) so you have a lot of time to plan the move!
Also, fee_fi_fo_fum, I haven't heard anything about the waitlist, sorry!
