OhioHealth vs OSU for new grad employer

U.S.A. Ohio

If you had the option to choose a "TECH" job between Ohiohealth and OSU which one do you think would have a better job outlook for a 2 year ADN nurse upon graduation? I would love to hear from graduate associate degree nurses and your experience with this job market here in Ohio.

Thanks for taking time to respond.

The only way you will get into OSU is by knowing someone. I applied with a good resume for 4 years to OSU with no luck whatsoever. The minute I had an employee referral on my resume, I was hired.

Do you plan to do a RN-BSN? MSN? DNP? If you work at OSU as a RN, your future education in those areas is essentially free. They also have phenomenal benefits.

I have also worked at OhioHealth and it is a great hospital system.

My personal opinion is to apply to ever opening you see at OhioHealth, OSU, and Mt Carmel and work at whichever one hires you. They are all very hard to get into and the market is tight. They are all great hospital systems and you would be lucky to work for any of them.

I totally agree. That is how I ened up at the hospital was because of a friend. Keep trying and applying.
