Has anyone done the Ohio University RN to BSN online? I was thinking about doing it because its pretty cheap, less than $6,000. However, I have a friend of mine whos step dad is doing it and the last I heard from him was that it was really hard and they make you write several papers a week. But this is when he first started doing the program and I"m not sure how he's doing with it now. He's also in his 40's so it may be harder for him since he's a little older than I am. No, I"m not calling people older than me (25) stupid. But i Just wanted to see how this program compares to other programs. I'd like to take 1 or maybe 2 classes a semester. Is this school accredited? I guess thats also something I should look for, right? I don't want to get my BSN and then it end up being a fake degree that I can't do anything with.
If anyone has any opinions or knows anything about this schools online RN to BSN program - i'd love to hear it. Thanks!

I would definitely contact them and ask about accreditation -- I couldn't find that information anywhere on their site. But the university itself does seem to have regional accreditation (HLC) -- Directory of HLC Institutions -- and their BSN seems to have CCNE accreditation: CCNE Accredited Nursing Degree Programs
In general, online degree completion programs typically require lots and lots of papers. I know my program did! I'm older, but I managed. Good luck!!

Unfortunately, writing papers is usually a major component of any four year program, whether online or in person. Part of the experience.
