Hey everyone! I haven't seen any threads about this application cycle yet and was wondering whether anyone was applying and for what specialty? Also if anyone knew whether out of state applicants had a disadvantage?

Hey! I applied for pediatrics! How about you?? I was there a few weeks ago for the information center and it didn't sound like there were any disadvantages for out of state applicants, in fact, it sounded like the admissions rates were pretty high! Do you have any idea when the decisions will come out?? I was accepted for the spring semester to finish the prereqs before we would start in the summer so I've been making arrangements anticipating an acceptance because I'd be moving from New Jersey so it's really stressing me out!

Awesome! I'm applying for adult-gero acute care! I'm so nervous about getting in! I wasn't able to make it to any info sessions, I'm from Virginia. What kinds of things did they talk about admissions? I'm afraid my gpa, gre scores, etc. won't be high enough. I read online that we should know their decision before February 1!!

Nice! Good choice! I'm from Jersey and only made it to an info session because it happened to be the weekend of a football game I had tickets to so I made a whole trip out of it haha but don't worry, you didn't miss much! It was basically all the same information that was online. The only new things I learned were some tips for your application, but of course I had already applied at that point and you already have so don't worry about it! She did give some application rates, for pediatrics last year, 63 out 66 applicants were accepted and many of the other specializations had similar rates..except (If I remember correctly) Family Nurse she said was the most popular and harder to get into...I forget exactly which one, but I know the acute cares had fewer applicants. I hope we hear back a lot sooner than February 1st because I was planning on taking the last 2 prereqs I need on campus during the Spring semester, but I was going to base it off the admissions decision..now it's like do I just up and move from Jersey in December in hopes that I do get to start the grad program in the summer?!

Well if AGAC acceptance rates are anything like that, I would be a very happy girl! And I would think that at the very latest we would find out feb 1 but I think I read on another thread that some of them knew in December! I understand your predicament though, hopefully we know sooner than later!

Have either of you heard back? I applied for the FNP grad entry program and am still waiting on a decision

I applied acute care; and very long story short, the acute care program was suspended. Luckily, I've been accepted into other programs and have accepted admission elsewhere!

Hello! Did you happen to get into the pediatrics? I am debating on applying for pediatrics or nurse administration! Your help would be greatly appreciated!
