hey guys! finally got back from kc...took the chronicity test today...if you need a good laugh, read on. just fair warning, this is a long one...otherwise, just skip down to the bottom and read the result. i truly felt like lucille ball today!!! i started out (very early, mind you) having minor car problems this morning and terrible rain showers which made the 60 minute drive to the testing site a 90 minute drive. got there with plenty of time to spare, so sat at the starbucks next door and focused, looked through my notes, went in to see if i could test about 45 minutes before scheduled. felt totally calm, cool, in charge. gonna pass me a chronicity test today! left everything in the car except my id. got in there and they asked me for 2 forms of id, something that has never happened to me! so, went back out into the pouring rain to the car, got another id, got back in there and they didn't have me on their list...as it turns out, when i rescheduled my test, i clicked the other kc test center. no problem, they called and told them i'm on my way. got directions from the testing people, will head back out in the pouring rain to head across kc--should take about 20 minutes in this weather. still have plenty of time...it's only about 10:15, i'm scheduled for 11:00. the drive took about 25 minutes (love those kansas drivers...hehe!) got off on the exit he gave me, couldn't find the cross street. couldn't find any of the landmarks. kind of starting to freak out a little, but forcing myself to stay calm. finally called 411, by this time it was about 10:45. getting a little nervous, but i know i'm close, just not close enough! info connected me to pearson...in minnesota!!! i'm really just laughing at this point, because i know there is no way i'll walk in the door on time for this exam...but now i'm talking to someone in minnesota, but i'm in missouri!!! so, she fumbles around, totally dumbstruck; obviously, no one had ever called her for directions to the kc testing centers before... she finally finds some info for me...bless her!!!! and i make my way to the testing center. walk in the door...it's 11:05....thank goodness they let me in with a smile on their faces, all 3 of them! (love that test-center security!) and, after all of that, i said my prayers and refused to be anything other than calm. and, it worked, because i walked out of there with a c! yeah! one more down...now on to the next one...can't decide if i wanna do transitions just to get it over with or one of the other ones. what's on everyone else's schedule? i'm hoping to get another one in by november 14 or so...any takers? we can carpool...if you want a complete experience with me! good luck all!!!

Congrats. It's exciting to see a fellow missourian gettin these tests knocked out lol. Keep on goin.

wow! what a trip!! congratulations on the pass.

i guess we are in the same boat. i took chronicity earlier this month. i am taking lifespan 1 this coming saturday. wish me luck. then i will take lifespan 2, then reproductive, then lifespan 3, then transitions. i am pretty much scheduling two exams in one month. hopefully, i can be successful with that schedule. i am a little scared of failing but good thing we are in the package option plan so we don't have to pay extra for retaking any exams.

if i do fail any exams, i hope my ego does not get bruised so much that i will lose my interest/motivation to finish. i know i am not stupid so i would just have to alter my studying methods to pass. hehe can you see i am already making excuses for this saturday? i am a little (lie) nervous. i wonder where my confidence went?

well, we're getting closer and closer to that rn title. yay!

i'm kind of like you, angel, i'm afraid i'm gonna fail, but i really want to pick up the pace a little bit...gotta get those letters behind my name! i'm pretty sure if we kept the pace for lpn, we're gonna do just fine this route, too. good luck on lifespan 1 this weekend...can't wait to hear how it goes--hopefully it won't be nearly as "exciting" as mine was yesterday!
