hey all-

i was just wondering if anyone in illinois could tell me who mails out the OFFICIAL pass letters. i took my NCLEX june 23 and have not received it (but passed)....and live in a notoriously slow postal zone. my future employer told me to call if i hadn't received it by the end of this week...but i don't know who to call! especially annoying considering that i tried calling continental and they won't let you speak to an operator!

i checked on both pearsonvue and continentaltesting.net and both said i passed- i know that pearson is unofficial but wondered if continental might be considered official

thanks!

Hi. I was wondering about checking Pearsonvue vs CTS. Pearsonvue still shows my exam results 'not available', but after I read this, I checked CTS and it shows pass. I can't decide to be relieved or not. What do you think?

If it is my result, why are they telling me to pay 7.95 to Pearsonvue when I just looked at CTS for free?

Moderately relived,

The BON is always the one to send out letters, and yours will include your license with it, or close to the same time.

Have you checked with the website for IL BON to see if your name is up there and then you have a license number assigned to you. An employer can verify you with that.

Official needs to be on their website, Continental does not issue the license, only the BON does.

You do not have to pay the fee to Pearson-Vue if you obtained your results from another source. That pass score is correct..................

Congratulations on passing the exam.

The Illinois BON doesn't seem to be listing anyone that took their boards recently that I know- including people that have received their letters. I was using the license verification link, however, so maybe I need to be searching some other way? If that is the case, I couldn't find it. I know that this letter apparently includes the directions for me to mail back my check to the state and THEN I receive my license. The hospital already told me that I probably won't have my actual license by the time I start but as long as I have the official letter that is considered adequate. I know my post office is slow- one of the 5 worst in the country!- but I just want to track it down. Perhaps I can call the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (that oversees BON it appears) and maybe they can tell me if my letter was sent???

I live in Illinois, took my nclex on July 2nd and got my letter from continental testing July 10th. Hope that helps!
