Office mental Health and civil service exam

Hey I need help, I applied for a position with pilgrim psychiatric center, I mailed resume and OMH application for employment. Now in the chance I do get hired will it be through state or an agency.

Also I did not complete nurse 2 civil service application. What is really the purpose if filling out that application and taking the test? Will I be hired through the state if I take it? Sorry I'm just confused as to what civil exam is, if it's needed for state employment.

1. By filling out the civil service application you are placed on the test list and can be considered for other locations the have an opening.

2. When hired off the list you are a permanent employee. If the facility hires you then you are classified as a provisional employee and can be laid off.

You're going to have to fill it out anyway. Just do it and get it over .
