I am a Registered who lives in Ontario, Canada. I was recently offered two job offers in the United States - one at Florida hospital and the other at Lovelace Regional Hospital (LRH), New Mexico. I now have a good problem in my hand as I do not know which one to go for. The rate at LRH is $8.50 more than the rate offered at Florida hospital. The most important thing to me is how willing and soon any of them will sponsor my green card as I do not want to get stuck with one hospital for 6 years or so. My gut feeling says it is going to be quicker at LRH. I will definitely have more professional exposure at Florida Hospital, but then I want to have the flexibility to move around as soon as possible. Please share your thoughts with me!

Because it isn't related to Canadian nursing I have moved this to International Nursing forum
Have you checked with either hospitals that they will sponsor for GC?

You want an employer to sponsor your greencard quickly so you can dump them and find another employer? I don't see why an employer would sponsor someone's greencard in the current market. It is a saturated market and there are American grads looking for work, maybe some employers can prove a need for hiring Canadian nurses under the NAFTA agreement, but I doubt they can prove a need to sponsor greencards.
