I recently applied at skilled nursing facility & was offered a LVN position it's going to be my first skilled nursing job I have not previously worked in LTC. I'm excited to start the new job in nursing field but at the same time im so nervous because skilled (as heard from others) requires alot of work. I just hope & pray I will learn as much as possible during my training & be able to provide great care to the residentsðŸ™ðŸ¼

It sounds like the company I worlk for 2 days of video, then floor training ( i will not say the name of company here) Make sure you are getting the most out of orientation. It hard work with a lot of patients and they will expect that you get up and running quickly! Take lots of notes, ask lots of questions and make yourself a good brain sheet. If you have good organizational and time management skills you'll do ok but those first weeks can be very overwhelming.
Good luck

I am the Director of a Pediatric Home Healthcare Agency. We are one of the few places that actually train, orient to every new case, every time and invest in education for our nurses. You should look into Private Duty Nursing.
