Odds of passing NCLEX pn with 205 questions

I graduated Jul 23, 2015. I went in and took the NCLEX after taking Kaplan. I failed with 205 questions. I took Hurst, again I went in and failed with 205 questions. I studied on my own and redid Hurst and again FAILED with 205 questions. Once more I went in and failed 205 questions.

I got Uworld, I did ALOT of questions everyday....yes, everyday. About 200-300 a day. I knew my lab values inside and out, I knew my Insulins, I knew my disease signs and symptoms.

I went in last Thursday, I felt like the test was chewing me up and spitting me out. My guts were twisting. I had a lot of Select All, Exhibits, Which pt. would you see first, Meds. lots of them, and some Math.

I came to question 85 and it went on to 86, it then asked if I wanted a break. I took the break....I went got a snack and a drink, and regrouped. I went in Praying please shut off, please. It DIDN'T SHUT OFF. I went all the way to 205 questions.

I went out of there CRYING...call my mother, said I'm a failure mother, this is the 5TH TIME. I refused to look at my results, just straight up refused. In fact I been looking at questions again. My son and boyfriend were getting VERY upset with me. They have no clue how it feels to fail something 4 times and then go in and feel so bad after the 5th time.

My letter came in the mail yesterday-ONE YEAR TO THE DATE AFTER GRADUATION. I went through all my mail, put that letter aside. My son was home. He said "well, open it." I did. I was thinking "where is all the papers telling me near passing, below passing, and above passing?" They were NOT there. I looked close and it was a PASS!!!!!! I screamed bloody murder and cried most of the evening. YES---you absolutely CAN pass that test with 205 questions! I did it. I still cannot believe it, but I did it!

Keep pushing! Never give up on your dreams!!!! You too can pass it, you made it through Nursing School. You can pass this test!
