I will be taking the entrance exam next month and have been out of school for 20 years so can you give me some idea what will be on the test so I know what I should be studying? Thanks

Do we need to have our physical done before registration or can it be done over the summer?

I imagine we can have it done during the summer. When are u taking the cpr class???

Students in the OCVTS LPN class. Sept 2010 start.

1st Congratualtions!

I will be applying to the program very very soon 2011 start. Please may I have some insight from any current or past students. What is the student population like (age, m/f ratiio). I hear the teachers are tough but fair....... Any suggestions for entrance test.......

Although I am from Ocean County to wait for sept 2011 was to far off, so I have started this year Sept 2010 at another school. Getting thru my first month. WOW !!!!!!!!!!! This has definitely changed my life. Yes I am one of the mature students. Our class has approx 26 students and 2 are males, We started with 42 students, 6 of which were males, not everybody can handle the work. Good Luck to All of you

May I ask IF county/ state .... How long is the Program for, how frequently does the classes start and is the tuition substantially greater than the 7K for Ocvts fee?

Have they spoken about job outlook and near future opportunities?

I attended a school in Moorestown, NJ. Yes the tuition is more the ocean county. The school hours are different depending on how fast you want to finish the program. The school offers full time, part time, days, nights, weekends etc. I am currently in the full time nursing program M-F 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. We began Sept. 24th and should finish right away the same time next year. Yes the instructors have spoken with us about job potential already, and has given the names of hospitals in NJ that still hire LPN's and also how about getting our RN as well as going for our BSN. We have been in school less than a month and our first clinical is scheduled Nov. 16th I think three days a week. It is very fast paced and pratically put everything in my life on the back burner right now. I love it. We have a great class, it's unfortunately that some have already dropped out. At orientation they tell you it is alot of work and you do have to study and pay attention. In the beginning it was a bit overwhelming accept now I have worked out a schedule that seems to work for me. Yes I do study alot, and read alot, and I even download the instructors lecture on my ipod. Since I have an hour drive one way to school everyday it is the perfect opportunity for me to replay the lecture. Most of the students in my school have an hour drive. I am a little further south of toms river, but the drive isn't bad. Considering I don't take the parkway that is God Send within itsself if you know what I mean. Yeppers......... saw I uh oh you all well hope....hehehe I do know the school choice of yours. Was the cost substantial? I was directed away from them for that reason. How many students in your class and ratio of F 2 M students if I may........ Lastly, reason for movement to this field?
