I just took my ONC test today...and Im happy that I passed...anyone planning to take the test? I would advice to obtain a copy of the Core Curriculum book...the study guide was most helpful...dont be discourage you may not get all the answers right...just keep on answering and look back to the reference book why your answers were wrong, that would guide you...the experience plus a the book made me pass

Good Luck to everybody planning to take that test

Well I have studied some more and take it in 2 days. bonodonnaonaroll are you taking it soon. I wish others that have taken this would chime in. I am very nervous!!!

I'm planning to take the certification in April-where would I get the core curriculum book you mentioned? I can use and help I can get! Thanks!

www.amazon.com have it

you can look at it online

find out any institution around your area that offers ONS review classes...if not

ONS have review classes every fall and spring during congress

this fall its in Chicago...and spring next year is in Philadelphia...you can also attend the congress while youre there...I took my review class during last year's fall congress in Pittsburg...

tom is the big day

I bet you will pass with flying colors :lol2:

Thanks for the word of confidence! I did take the review class last spring but it was so long ago I hope it still helps. I feel like I know the material but some of the questions on the practice test come up and I just shake my head. And some I get wrong for stupid reasons.

One o'clock tomorrow so I will get studying again. Thanks again Plum94

Well I PASSED!!!! I am so happy. It was really hard. I thought there was alot about radiation and I dont work in that area. I was worried. It is so nice that you get to know if you pass right away. When I took my hospice certification I had to wait 6 weeks. For all you going to take it I say study, study, study.

I took mine Oct. 18 and.....I passed!!! Have been wanting to do this since 2000 and just now got around to it. I am so happy! Good luck to everyone else.

Congratulations, you deserve it

mine will be submitting a clinical abstract for the Spring ONS congress in PA

i got 2 months to work on it

cant help to procastinate

Congrats to all! I passed mine just before the summer and was relieved. My suggestion is to read through the core curriculum, but to really focus on the study guide and just do every single question and then go back over the ones you miss in the core curriculum. Good luck!

there is a disc with 3000 questions..or is it 1000

very helpful review for ocn

am a fnp

used it to study for aocnp as there was no study guide for aocnp...and passed

opened my eyes to how much ocn certified nurses must know!!!
