I guess I would post the topic for OCCC spring traditional pathway 2020. The deadline is September 6, 2019 and I wonder anyone have applied yet.

@Ariel Wigington same here!!!! I have 16, I have heard it’s less competitive for spring so that’s what I am banking on. I neeeed to know!

I KNOW. I don't know how i'm going to wait until the beginning/middle of October!

@Ariel Wigington mind me asking what your gpa was?

Not at all! I have a 3.078.

@Ariel Wigington @carla-W Have either of you ever heard of anyone being waitlisted at 16 or 17 points? I looked on these forums and I haven't, which gives me hope! I'm sure it's possible depending on the applicant pool, but I just didn't know if anyone had heard of it before.

@Kate1 I've been following these forums for awhile and I haven't seen anyone being waitlisted at 16 or 17. I have seen 14's get waitlisted and some 15's, but they are high on the waitlist. My advisor said one semester the lowest score that got accepted was a 12.

@Kate1 I’ve never heard of anyone being waitlisted with that many either. Always a first time for everything lol.

@Ariel Wigington I heard the thing about a 12 being accepted once as well. ?

I have high hopes for all of us! Just wish we could find out like...now.

I applied with 15 points! But NursingCas had my GPA calculated by 0.5 points lower then OCCC has it as, which puts me in the lower GPA bracket which would mean I loose a point for GPA. I asked NursingCas and they said it depends on the school if they take their calculated GPA or NursingCas calculated GPA. I'm stressing because it brings me down to 14 if they do that! I can't wait to find out!

@LaJKer This happened to me too! I have academic forgiveness, so my OCCC GPA has me way higher than what CAS calculated. I found someone on here on a previous thread who had the same happened to her and she said that OCCC took their own GPA, not the CAS GPA. If anything, when they calculate your points and give you that number, I’m told you can dispute it if you think it’s wrong. So if for some reason we both lose a point for GPA, we should know and be able to say something.

Hello!

I also applied with 17 points, I applied with 14 points last semester and got waitlisted. Hopefully this is the semester i get in!

@Kate1 that makes me feel so much better!!
