Hello Everyone! This thread is for students applying to the BADNAP program for Spring 2021.

I just had them run titers on my HepB, MMR's, and my Varicella. Then I did the PPD skin tests and the TDaP there. I think the TB(PPD) is $15 each. My flu vaccine I did at my family doctor, but I didn't think my insurance would cover much, so I did the least expensive place I could find which was Baptist. I have the number for them if you need it! ?
Could you share that number? I just called DLO and if I have the varicella titer done through my primary care doc it'll be $111.36. Yikes! I've had chicken pox, so I don't really want to get an unnecessary vaccine, but my insurance covers the vaccine.

Sorry I'm just now seeing this! The number to Baptist employee health is 405-951-2903. My varicella titer was only $30. ? Hope that helps!
Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I got my vaccination records from my primary care doc and it says I’ve already had 3 Hep B vaccinations, 2 MMR vaccinations, and 2 Varicella vaccinations back when I was younger. Would I just upload proof of these vaccinations to myClinalExchange or do I need to get Positive titers for all of them since I got all of the vaccinations so young?
I got my second TB test done today, my flu shot, and am getting my TDaP vaccination on Monday so I just wanted to make sure I don’t need to get anything else
Thank you guys so much!

You can upload the docs and see if they accept them. I uploaded my docs and they were all accepted. My first MMR was in 85, 2nd MMR in 02, and all 3 Hep B's in 02/03 which was after I was 18 and going to college. If I recall correctly, the last MMR might need to be after you are 18 but I could be wrong there.

I agree with Stephanie. I would totally upload them. I bet you are good to go since you have proof of all those! Good job having them...I moved overseas so much and across the US that most of my immunization records were in pieces. LOL - I knew I had mine done - being that I worked in hospitals and with patients before, but I obviously had to get the titers to show proof of my immunity. I also had a wicked bad case of chickenpox as a kid, so I knew I was good to go there too! haha

What about the liability health care insurance.Any heads up on that?
Happy Thanksgiving!
I took my CPR course at Heartland CPR in OKC. Heartland was awesome but it was $100. I found out cheaper alternatives after I signed up and they don’t offer refunds. If you go online to Moore Norman Technology they offer CPR/BLS classes for $45. I think someone on this thread someone said OCCC was offering classes for $15? Sometimes the health department has cheaper CPR classes too!
You can buy the student Liability Insurance through OCCC student portal (it is at the same spot online where you paid for the nursing application fee) and upload the receipt on my clinical exchange.
hope this helps!

Hi everyone!
My sister actually found this thread for me since I keep pestering her with questions she doesn't know - she completed the traditional program at OCCC recently.
I applied for the Spring 2021 and was alternate #5. I had a 3.01 GPA, made a 90 on the TEAS and had everything completed before applying. I got my acceptance last week.
I thought I'd share that you can get a TB skin test at the health department for $15. I'm getting my TB blood test, flu shot, and varicella titer test from my primary care doc. My insurance will cover all but the varicella (HealthChoice).
OCCC opened up a CPR class for $25 on Dec 1st or 2nd. I just called the health profs dept to get enrolled. ------------------------------ told me I'd be fine even if I was taking a class later than Dec 2nd, but I went ahead and enrolled in the Dec 1st class. CVTech will have one for $43 on Dec 11th.
My sister also said they did the drug tests at orientation, so just a heads up for that. ?
---------------------------- did tell me not to worry if I don't have everything done by Dec 2nd. They just want to see that we're actually attempting to do it, and to make sure and submit everything as I do it instead of waiting to do it all at once.
Hope that helps y'all! I'm so relieved I got in and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in December.
