Hey, Everyone !!!
I'm new to this forum. [New to any nursing forum actually]
I would like to move my family to another state [i currently live in Florida] and I would like to have a job lined up if at all possible before moving. Is it possible to obtain an out of state license before actually living in that state? Also, I have not worked in ~2 years as I was caring for an ill parent and raising my precious children. In my internet research, I noticed that several different states require proof of current or recent employment to obtain license by endorsement. Since I have not worked in ~2 years, will this keep me from obtaining a license in another state? I am new to all this as I have always lived in Florida. I would so appreciate any suggestions .
Thank you so very much !
In His love,
Reality

Do you have any idea about where you would like to move to? Your best bet would be to contact that BON with your questions so you will know exactly what is required of you to get your licensure. I also know that your school has to be nationally accredited in order to get a license in anoter state. I think they review your transcripts to make sure that you have taken everything required and you apply and pay the fees. But you do need to contact the state where you want to go as every state has different requirements for licensure. Good luck!!
