The three month grace period currently exists in health insurance plans offered in PA as standard practice. As single person, one extensive illness with hospitalization, 2 month SNF stay you haven't been home to pay the bills.. after 90th day, insurance companies permitted to cancel policy. I have the pleasure of calling patients and emergency contacts to inform them of cancellation and need to reinstate. Our Blue Cross plans will automatically reinstate with payment made in this case.
