U.S.A. Michigan

Hey i submitted my application for nursing school in August of 2014. And I'm trying to get in the occ program in 2015..are there anyone else on this site that currently attends occ and plan to apply for there program..its nice to meet people that go to the same school and program

I applied for the morning one too and that's the one I got for Wednesday mornings from 8:30-12:30. I've just ordered my book too, I'm renting it from Chegg.com

not sure if you've heard of it but you can rent your books there for a pretty decent price, with shipping and everything I paid 27 dollars for the book! I have to return it at the end of the semester but that's ok...

How did you find out which book to get, did you call the bookstore at school and do you know the price of the book if brand new?

If you go to online services and check under the college resources you can click on bookstore there. Just follow the instructions and put in the campus and your class information and it will show you a list of what you need for the class. It shows that there are only used books left and they are $78.00. I also found it on Amazon brand new for about the same price as the used one at the college bookstore. I chose to rent it just because it was much cheaper.

K thanks I just ordered my books today I'm having it sent to my home

Hey! Not sure if you saw or not but there was something posted on desire to learn for the pharmacology class. I know we won't be in the same class but I'm sure they are all the same and it says that before class starts to have the first three chapters of the textbook read. Just thought you might like to know in case you haven't checked...

Specializes in Postpartum, Mother/Baby, Comm. Health, Geriatric.

Congrats ladies! I am looking to start OCC for my LPN-RN. I finish my LPN (from Davenport this summer). I need to check it out soon. Are nursing classes offered at all campuses or is everyone that is in the same cohort pretty much together?

Nursing classes are offered only at Southfield and highland lake campus. If you are non OCC nursing graduate, you are eligible to TPN program which is offered at Southfield. Sometimes, you have to travel to highland lake for some classes or lab depending on instructors and department. They can assign you wherever they want.

good luck all with your nursing school.

2015 OCC nursing graduate.

I plan on starting this program as well.... I was skeptical at 1st do to hearing that they weren't having enough students to enroll in the Lpn-Rn program!! I have a few courses to take before I become eligible!! How is it so far?
