NYU Accelerated BSN Spring 2012

Published

hey! I figured I will start this thread! Who applied and now waiting anxiously?? :)

Jennay: unfortunately u are probably right about the holiday thing. I won't get my hopes up about hearing a decision this week but it sure would be nice!

@faces, did you join the group on facebook?

someone mentioned that they got an email about scholarship at 4am today!

so, i'm assuming they are working on the accepted students first, and then get back on us?

Yeah I did join my name is Dorine Lara on there and I did see the exact post that you're referring too, that's pretty early even by NYC time to send an email lol I have a feeling that's what they are doing is working on accepted students scholarships and financial aid and once they figure out how many spots have been taken by those that pod their deposit nd accepted admissions that then they will get to us.

Typing on my iPhone is really make me look like I can't spell lol

@faces, haha automatic spelling corrector is annoying for me.

Hey wassup all......the scholarship email was for the Robert Wood Johnson scholarship. It was just stating they received our submissions and they're in the process of reviewing them for interviews. I received that email and I still haven't gotten a response. I really hope I get in because it would suck to do all this work for a scholarship if I dont get accepted. GAHHHHHHHHHH.

So this might be somewhat of an annoying, lengthy, and premature question but I have to ask since I don't know if I have been accepted yet: can someone who has already been accepted please tell me the important dates in December and January that I would need to be at NYU if I was accepted? By this I mean that I know there is a specific certification class and things like that which NYU is offering as well as orientation and what not. I'm trying to fly home for the holidays, but I am concerned with dates that may cause conflict if I were to be accepted. Thanks in advance!

New student orientation is January 19th and CPR/BLS certification is January 20th (for those starting clinical right away). There are two Meet & Greet sessions which aren't mandatory and they are in late November and mid-December.

Thanks mauve! Can you tell me if anything on your Albert changed before you found out you were accepted? Under "my event status" it's asking me for a confirmation code which I don't remember seeing before, but I might just be making myself crazy :/

I havent received an answer yet either but the event status that you are referring to has always been there =/ i think that under application status there will be another link to click on once a decision has been made

@gk24: that's what I figured *sigh* I spoke to an admissions counselor today and she said that they are currently reviewing applications and we will know within the next few weeks. She also told me what I had assumed to be true that if we haven't heard yet it's because they weren't quite sure about us and need to rereview the apps since everyone that was a definite no or definite yes has already received their decisions. She basically said if you haven't heard yet don't lose hope because it doesn't mean you aren't getting in.

@faces04 well now I feel worse =\ when did you send in your app?
