Hi all! Didn't see a forum for the upcoming Spring 2022 start date deadline, so thought I'd make one ? Good luck to all of you applying!! Feel free to post any questions, concerns, stats, etc.

Try Stony Brook- probably even more competitive given the price. Also, Pace has a really good 12-month program ~69k.

I’ll look into it thank you! I only tried NYU because it seemed like they had a “holistic “ view with the whole second degree and only have two prereqs but guess not so I gotta look for that now ! Good luck to you!

No problem! Also if you want a school with a REALLY holistic review process, try the Hopkins MSN entry program. It’s 21 months and ~130k.

You should look into Montclair state University. It’s a Summer start program entry level masters in nursing. Applications are due next month I believe!
I've been lurking on this thread since I applied back in August.
I was rejected as well. If anyone here is in Virginia, BON Secours Nursing has a great nursing school program. I have chosen to go there and not only is the price reasonable but there are many benefits to it. It is a little longer than most nursing schools, but they have a very high NCLEX passing rate of 98% (heard the exam was getting harder this year) and for 2yr program its about 30k. In addition, if you work as a PRN with the BON Secours at any of their facilities in Virginia, you will be given 20% off tuition. At the end of the day, while NYU was a dream, we are all trying to get the same license and credentials and since we are experiencing a huge nurse shortage, there are many jobs available post-nursing school. And, if you go through BON Secours, you will be guaranteed a position at any of their hospital facilities in the US.
Its what you make of the nursing program, not what the program makes of you. If your dream is to move to the big apple, find a program that will get you there faster. The dream is never to big, it is the drive that will get you there. I wish every the best of luck!

I got rejected as well. I don't mind given I have other acceptances but I am annoyed they let us know so late. I got accepted into Johns Hopkins 3 months ago. This school was my mom's alma mater but after hearing what others had to say about it, I am fine with the decision and will be attending Pace ABSN.
