Soo......is anyone planning on applying to NYU for their Spring 2017 program....does anyone have any advise about NYU?
Hey guys,
I just called admissions and spoke with a counselor as well. He said we will DEFINITELY not hear back before November 18th (both priority and regular applicants). He also said he knows some people heard back last week, but that doesn't mean the rest of us who are still waiting have lower chances or anything. Everyone will receive an email asking them to check Albert for their admission status, so let's hope we get it on the 18th! I'm also waiting to hear back from this school before I accept my second choice...their deposit is due next week so I'm stressing too
This is terrible because the school costs so much money. We need to figure out the financial situation before too. Letting us know a month before hand to decide whether or not we want to make a 90K+ commitment is just not.enough time. I also applied priority hoping this would resolve this issue. This is so frustrating.
Hey guys.. new to the board. After reviewing all the comments, all I have to say is shame on the process. Heres the thing, NYU never exactly promised anyone an early decision. In fact, they clearly stated that they would be notifying students through to December/January. But here's the thing we all can agree on, this is just not a feasible wait for a SECOND bachelors degree. I'm sure most if not all of you are so done waiting to start your career that the anxiety and uncertainty is rotting your stomach. I for instance am a young mom and wife whose husband has almost had it holding so much weight in my family. The fact that I have to take out 90k+++ on top of it, and pull that together like a christmas miracle in time if I get accepted, is just ridiculous. What is admissions doing all day? I get they have a lot to process with so many programs, but come ON. I submitted my application WELL before the deadline, in fact 10 weeks ago. If November 18th is the "lucky day", I just hope to GOD the financial aid packages come WITH a decision.
November 18 is the next decision release date! Also, decisions go out every Friday I was told.
Do you remember who you talked to?? When I call they tell me they don't have a specific decision date and it's just 6-8 weeks after applying. Everyone who I talk to is super short with me and doesn't give me info!

I was told we can expect decisions from November 15-January 1 by undergraduate admissions. Lmao. Then I was transferred and spoke to the admissions counselor who asked for my name and told me they have done a "preliminary review" and I fall in the "middle" of the other applicants. Like I'm not on the top or the bottom and he can't give me any other information because he doesn't know exactly when they will send out decisions. But he said if you applied priority, they look at your application first. However, if you seem to rank average and stuff, they just put you into the regular admissions pool. I'm not too sure what all this means but just giving ya'll info on what I was told
