NYU ABSN- do recc letter & transcripts have to be sent directly from the school?

Hi everyone! For those of you who've applied to NYU's 15 month accelerated program..

For our college transcripts and recommendation letters, do our old schools and recommendation writers need to send the letters and transcripts to NYU directly? Or can the recommendation letters and transcripts both be sent to me, and then I can mail the entire thing to NYU in one envelope?

Thank you!!

I tried calling them, but they're not answering :(

Unless there is a different policy in place for that department the answer can be easily found on NYU's website:

"College Official's Report and College Transcripts: Request that your advisor or school official submit the College Official's Report and that your registrar or school official submit a copy of your college transcript to the NYU Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 665 Broadway, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10012, USA."

Generally official (those stamped and or signed by the college's registar) transcripts are mailed directly from the requested school. Such papers are legal documents and who is to say after the registar has signed someone "doctors" the papers and or finds a way to forge the documents.
