NYP Nurse Residency Program 2023

Published

Hi! I haven’t seen a post about this yet, so I figured I’d start a thread for the 2023 cohort at New York Presbyterian. I accepted a job offer, did all of my onboarding (background check application, online forms, etc.), fingerprints, and scheduled my medical clearance apt for next week but haven’t heard anything in a week or two. My start date is supposed to be Jan 17th and I feel like there is other stuff to be done like ordering scrubs, getting access to email account, etc. Not sure if it is just weird timing with the holidays and New years or if there really is anything else that needs to be done or not. Was wondering if anyone else was running into a similar situation.

Hi!!

Congratulations on landing your first nursing position! Starting the residency in March for an ED position - would you be willing to share your experience so far?

Specializes in Interested in ED open to anything.

Hey! I am a December 2024 grad- when did the application open for you to apply for a march start date? Also looking into ED, did you have experience, and if so what kind? Sorry for all the questions and thank you so much for any and all help!

Hey, I am a new grad. I applied for the job in November and was extended an offer. I chose to begin in March instead of February.

Hi! Congrats on landing the job! I am set to graduate this Spring and was wondering if you applied to the normal job postings or if they put out a specific "new grad" posting. I would like to get in applications early at most hospitals but don't want to apply under the wrong applications.
